CANON, Ohio-Kim Nidy, the director of technology for North Canton City Schools, has deep roots in North Canton, having lived there and graduated from Hoover High School. She pursued her education at the University of Akron, earning a bachelor’s degree in comprehensive business education and a master’s degree in educational administration.
Nidy has extensive experience in teaching business classes, including creating the business management career tech program at Hoover High School. She transitioned into administration and was involved in securing a $5 million Straight A grant for the district. Nidy now oversees technology management for the district, including support for devices, classroom technology, cybersecurity, budget management, and communication with stakeholders. She is dedicated to supporting students and has served as a board member for Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio. Nidy and her husband have three children, and she values her family deeply.
