< 1 min read

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio-Seven seniors from the Ohio Hi-Point Education Academy have obtained their paraprofessional certifications, a significant step toward their goal of becoming educators. The students, hailing from various areas, are now qualified to assist students from elementary to high school levels in subjects like math, reading, and writing.

This achievement opens up opportunities for them to work in schools and obtain licensure through the Ohio Department of Education upon graduation. Angie Walls, the Education Academy Instructor, expressed pride in her students’ success and looks forward to witnessing their growth as teachers and educators. Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, where these students study, offers a range of career-technical and academic education programs to juniors and seniors from partner school districts, along with adult and continuing education programs aimed at enhancing workforce skills in the community.
