A person of interest has been detained after a 14-year-old was shot near an elementary school on the west side of Columbus, police say. Officers went to the Lindbergh Elementary School area at 2541 Lindbergh Dr. just before 3 p.m. after a report of a shooting. The Columbus police radio room said that a 14-year-old was wounded in the shooting. The teen was taken to the hospital.
