BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio-On June 20, police responded to a disturbance at a pool on Scenicview Drive where a man was reported to have pushed a juvenile. According to the caller, the man had dunked his 9-year-old nephew in the pool and broke the boy’s water gun. The man explained to the officer that the juvenile had been squirting water into his daughter’s face and pushing her underwater despite being told to stop multiple times. The lifeguard confirmed that the boy had been causing trouble with other children in the pool and was spraying the man’s daughter in the face before the incident. The lifeguard witnessed the man separating the boy from his daughter and breaking the water gun, but stated he did not push the boy underwater. No charges were filed, and all parties were advised to avoid further interaction with each other.
