CLEVELAND, Ohio-Dais-Marie Alicea, a 16-year-old from Cleveland who went missing, triggering an endangered missing teen alert, has been found safe in New York. She disappeared from her grandparents’ home on July 14, prompting a search by Cleveland police. Despite not having a cell phone or social media, she had been communicating with an older man she met on her PlayStation gaming system. FBI Agent William Lee Hasty warned about such online dangers, stressing the importance of parental supervision. Police are considering charges against the man found with Dais-Marie. Her safe return prompted Cleveland 19 News to launch “The Missing,” a series aimed at helping families find missing loved ones and raising awareness about online risks for children.
