LUCAS, Ohio-Lucas High School, despite its small size, received recognition for its teen driving safety campaign during the Ohio Family, Career and Community Leaders of America State Leadership Conference.
The campaign aimed to address distracted driving, a significant issue among young drivers in Ohio. Led by the FCCLA group, students devised strategies to raise awareness about the consequences of distracted driving. Alyssa Shay, a recent graduate and member of the core group, emphasized the importance of making a big impact on this issue.
