< 1 min read

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-The fifth-grade class at Kenwood Elementary has left a lasting impact on their school by implementing various initiatives before moving on to Bowling Green Middle School. Motivated by a desire to improve their school environment, the students initiated a recycling program led by Tyson Hackworth and a project to provide recess equipment organized by Vivian Tracy.

Tyson’s persistence and petition led to the successful reintroduction of recycling bins throughout the school. Vivian and her classmates raised funds through a bake sale and a “Day of Giving” event at a local brewery to purchase deck boxes and recess equipment. Their efforts surpassed the fundraising goal, demonstrating their commitment to leaving a positive legacy for future students at Kenwood Elementary.
