Senior Centers, Inc. announced Tuesday it plans to “wind down” the Lucas County Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) over a loss in federal funding. The statement released Tuesday said the funding from AmeriCorps Seniors was impounded by the White House Office of Management and Budget, despite the organization’s approved renewal application for a three-year grant to operate FGP. They said OMB move affects more than 130 similar programs across the country.
