Group that Campaigned Against Perrysburg School Levy Shares What They Want to See Next

< 1 min read

PERRYSBURG, Ohio -A week after the failure of a levy proposal for Perrysburg schools, the group that campaigned against it, Perrysburg Stands Up, is calling for a more financially responsible, long-term plan. The levy would have raised $13.5 million in its first year and an additional $2 million annually until 2031, replacing an expiring levy. The group, led by spokesperson Marie Ermie, argued that the growth of the city didn’t align with the proposed increase in taxes. Ermie questioned why the district’s expenses were rising faster than the city’s growth and called for more transparency.
