RAVENNA, Ohio-A 15-year-old boy from Ravenna faces charges for threatening violence against Salina High School in Kansas. He is charged with making terroristic threats and swatting, and was arrested at home and taken to juvenile detention. The threats were made via Instagram, stating intentions to “shoot up the school” the following day. Investigators traced the messages to the boy’s home IP address and an email account linked to him. During questioning, he admitted to sending the messages but claimed he was coerced by an anonymous person on a gaming platform who offered payment to disrupt classes. Authorities are also looking into his connection to a female student at the school.
