PAINESVILLE, Ohio-The Lake County Solid Waste District and Board of Commissioners have announced the winners of their annual Clean and Green Art Contest, which encourages students to create artwork promoting recycling and anti-littering.
Natalia Pérez Soto, a sixth-grade student at Harding Middle School, won both the middle school division and the overall prize for her design titled “Keep Lake County Clean.” Her artwork will be displayed in the Lake County Commissioner’s chambers and used for marketing materials by the Solid Waste District and Utilities Department. Commission President John T. Plecnik praised Natalia’s artwork as a symbol of the community’s dedication to preserving Lake County’s natural beauty.
