Students from Rich Center for Autism Help get Scrappers Game Started

< 1 min read

NILES, Ohio-During Saturday night’s Mahoning Valley Scrappers game, held for Autism Awareness Night, the Rich Center for Autism collaborated with the team. Children from the center participated by throwing out the first pitch and singing the National Anthem.

The Scrappers wore special jerseys for the event, which are being auctioned online until June 15 at noon, with proceeds benefiting The Rich Center. Recently, the Scrappers also introduced a Sensory Suite at their ballpark to offer a calming environment for fans who may find the typical game experience overwhelming.
