Bucyrus City Schools Awarded $696,675 Ohio Career Technical Education Equipment Grant

BUCYRUS, Ohio-Bucyrus City Schools has received $696,675 from the Ohio Career Technical Education (CTE) Equipment Grant Program to develop programs that will help students earn industry-recognized credentials in advanced manufacturing. The funding will support the creation of the Innov8 Design & Makerspace Lab and the Industry Credential Learning Lab for students in grades 6 through 12, focusing on hands-on projects in design, engineering, and manufacturing. Superintendent Robert Britton expressed excitement about the grant, noting it will provide students with access to advanced equipment and curricula, enhancing their skills for high-demand careers. The district collaborated with the Mid-Ohio ESC Business Advisory Council to ensure the programs align with local workforce needs.
