BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-Bowling Green High School introduced a “student professional development day” focused on addressing issues identified through a needs assessment survey conducted by guidance counselors. Principal Dan Black highlighted concerns observed in the counselors’ office.
The regular class schedule was replaced for the day with sessions covering healthy relationships, body image, drugs and alcohol, and internet safety. Presenter Matt Bell received praise from students for his engaging presentation on choices and consequences, with students eager to interact with him afterward.
