TOLEDO, Ohio-Dennis Hopson has been appointed as the new athletic director at Bowsher High School. A 1983 graduate of Bowsher, Hopson is a former standout basketball player who had a successful career, including five NBA seasons and a championship with the Chicago Bulls. He recently stepped down as head men’s basketball coach at Lourdes University to pursue new career opportunities. During his time at Lourdes, he led the team to its first WHAC championship and set a record for the most wins in a season. Hopson was also honored with the “Jack Bennett Man of the Year” award in 2024 for his integrity in sports.
