April 16th, 2024-ELYRIA, Ohio-An Elyria teenager was arrested after crashing a stolen car into two homes. The 16-year-old boy crashed a stolen Chevy Impala into the homes on West River Road around 7:12 p.m. He was found in possession of a loaded handgun.
The teen, who was treated and released from the hospital, faces several felony charges including auto theft, vandalism, and multiple weapons offenses. The Elyria Police Department noted an increase in juveniles in possession of firearms, with recent seizures of four handguns and the arrest of five juveniles in the past two weeks.
