FINDLAY, Ohio-The circumstances surrounding the death of 17-year-old Kalvin Darapheth, who was killed during a police pursuit in October, remain unclear. The Lucas County coroner ruled his death a homicide, caused by multiple gunshot wounds, but did not specify the number of shots or locations of the injuries. Darapheth was shot while fleeing from Findlay police, who had been dispatched to Bernard Park for suspected underage drinking. He was pronounced dead the following day at a Toledo hospital.
