MIDDLETOWN, Ohio-Law enforcement agencies in Middletown are collaborating with community groups for Operation Bridge, a two-day event aimed at combating drug use and related deaths. The operation involves increased law enforcement efforts to seize illegal drugs and arrest suppliers, along with outreach efforts to connect individuals struggling with addiction to resources.
On the first day, nine arrests were made, and nearly 80 grams of fentanyl were seized. Simultaneously, outreach teams provided support and resources to those with substance use disorder. The event at Damon Park included various services such as counseling and job assistance.
