Affordable childcare rally at the Ohio Statehouse

COLUMBUS, Ohio–Dozens of Ohio parents and childcare providers are set to rally at the statehouse on Monday for A Day Without Child Care, advocating for fully funded, quality early childhood education and care. Organized by The CEO Project, the goal is to secure proper funding for childcare and ensure living wages for caregivers.

Tarrezza Thompson, a childcare provider and CEO Project leader, highlights the financial strain on two-income families due to childcare costs, urging legislators to prioritize childcare in the state’s 2025 budget. The rally aims to emphasize the importance of accessible and safe childcare for working families. Scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the event is part of 86 rallies planned across 26 states and Washington D.C.
