BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-During a recent Bowling Green City School District Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Ted Haselman celebrated the community’s generosity, as residents, businesses, and organizations donated $22,490 to support various school needs. Donations included funds for a new Bobcat mascot outfit, athletic equipment, snacks, clothing, school supplies, and other essentials.

Board member Ginny Stewart, who has been instrumental in coordinating donations, provided her final report before retiring from the board. She highlighted ongoing needs at different school buildings, such as snacks, winter clothing, and hygiene items, and introduced Tara Loar as her successor in overseeing donations. Additionally, Stewart noted the Dear Santa program’s need for donations to support families in need during the holidays. The meeting also acknowledged the retirements of five teachers from various school buildings within the district.
