< 1 min read

IRONTON, Ohio-The Ironton branch of the Briggs Library hosted a Star Wars-themed event on May Fourth, featuring activities like lightsaber training, droid building, and games related to the franchise. Despite the rainy weather, kids enjoyed various activities, including navigating through laser beams, bowling down stormtrooper pins, and playing galactic games.

The event aimed to celebrate Star Wars and promote reading among children. Attendees, including English teacher Hannah Lantz and her daughter Piper, found the event enjoyable. The library plans to hold similar events in the future when May the Fourth falls on a weekend. Additionally, the library announced its upcoming Summer Reading program starting on June 1, featuring various activities, including games, crafts, and opportunities to learn about community resources.
