TOLEDO, Ohio-Ethan Smith, a 19-year-old, has been indicted by a Lucas County Grand Jury for shooting a man and a 2-year-old boy in west Toledo earlier this month. He faces five counts of felonious assault, along with charges for improperly discharging a firearm, handling firearms in a vehicle, and having weapons while under disability. The incident occurred on September 5 when Smith allegedly shot the toddler in the head and the 20-year-old man in the leg inside a home. Witnesses reported seeing a dark SUV firing shots from a sunroof, and the toddler was hospitalized in critical condition. The shooting also damaged at least two vehicles, with numerous shell casings found at the scene.
