NEW ALBANY, Ohio-Isa Eribo and Sophia Sim, both 17 and high school seniors, have founded the Career Compass Coalition, a nonprofit that supports high school students with the college application process. Despite living over 800 miles apart—Eribo in New Albany, Ohio, and Sim in Owasso, Oklahoma—they collaborate via Google Classroom to assist over 5,200 students across more than 30 states and 50 countries. The organization, recently granted nonprofit status, also has a strong social media presence with over 7,200 TikTok followers. Eribo and Sim, along with 15 staff members, manage various tasks to ensure their initiative helps students navigate the complexities of college applications.
