YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio-A 14-year-old student at East High School in Youngstown pleaded denial to charges of carrying a concealed weapon and illegal conveyance of a gun onto school property after a loaded 9mm pistol was found in his bookbag. The boy was arrested on Tuesday and ordered held in detention pending a preliminary hearing on December 3. The gun was discovered after the student, along with two others, was found hiding behind a cabinet. A deputy, who was working security at the school, felt the gun while searching the student’s bag.
