Three teenagers are in custody and have been charged with murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old Jaycion Bennett on July 4. Toledo police arrested a 13-year-old, a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old for the homicide. All three defendants appeared in court Tuesday morning. According the Lucas County Prosecutor’s Office, all three were on probation for other crimes at the time of the shooting.
