A 14-year-old who allegedly shot and killed a teen on Sylvania Ave. in September of 2023 originally pleaded not guilty but appeared in court on July 17 and changed his plea. On July 31, the teen was sentenced to between 25 and 30.5 years in prison. According to court records, Leveire Barnes entered his not guilty plea during his court appearance on Nov. 4. A judge also set his aggregate bond at $650,000 at no 10%.
