AKRON, Ohio-A 15-year-old girl was shot at Akron’s Joy Park in an incident that occurred around 6 p.m. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots. Police found the victim injured on the ground and administered first aid before she was transported to a local hospital.
The teen’s injuries are not considered life-threatening. Authorities suspect an altercation took place just before the shooting but are still investigating the exact circumstances. The victim’s name has not been released.
