Attorney Says Bullying at Fairfield School Led to Fractured Neck for Teenager

FAIRFIELD, Ohio-At Creekside Middle School in Fairfield, a 13-year-old student, Braylon Kline, suffered a neck fracture in April when another student shoved him into a wall during gym class. The incident rendered Kline unconscious and resulted in a closed fracture of his first thoracic vertebrae with spinal cord injury. Kline’s family attorney, Scott Kruger, revealed that this was not an isolated incident but part of ongoing bullying, including previous physical assaults and taunts. The bullying intensified even after Kline returned to school with a neck brace, leading to his transfer out of the district. The family faces significant medical expenses and is considering legal action. Fairfield City Schools has not yet responded to requests for comment.
