CLEVELAND, Ohio-After their initial levy proposal failed in March, Richmond Heights Local Schools is reintroducing the measure with revised terms. They are now proposing a property tax increase of 3.25 mills, down from 14 mills, along with a 1.25% increase in Earned Income Tax. Superintendent Dr. Marnisha Brown stated that community feedback gathered during three summer meetings influenced these adjustments. The school district is addressing issues stemming from a past water main break that damaged the elementary school and its instructional materials. The proposed levy would not impact recipients of social security or disability benefits.
