Monica Kress has been appointed as the new executive director of Wayne County Children Services, succeeding Deanna Nichols-Stika. With a decade of service, Nichols-Stika decided to step down, paving the way for Kress to lead the organization in its mission of ensuring child and family welfare in Wayne County.
Kress’s extensive experience and commitment to public service position her well to steer the agency in supporting vulnerable children and families. Don Noble, Chair of the Wayne County Children Services Board of Directors, expressed confidence in Kress’s ability to lead with compassion and effectiveness. Kress will oversee all agency operations, collaborating with the board, staff, and community partners to advance the agency’s mission. She officially assumed the role of executive director on May 20th.
