Parents express concerns about CMSD consolidation plan

During an expanded public comment session at a Cleveland Metropolitan School District board meeting, 20 individuals had the opportunity to voice their thoughts on the Building Brighter Futures Plan. The plan could pose a long-term solution to the district’s financial issues – closing 29 schools and merging 39 schools will save the district an estimated $30 million annually. However, both the mergers and closures have drawn concern from parents.
