He highlighted Ohio’s commitment to skilled trades, announcing $200 million for tech center expansions and $100 million in equipment grants. Dackin stressed the importance of fostering literacy in young children and ensuring educational institutions are equipped to train a diverse workforce, including tradespeople and professionals. He noted the urgency due to a declining birth rate and an aging population, stating that Ohio has many job openings that need to be filled.
