CANTON, Ohio-Larry Kinnard was hired as the new athletic director at Hoover High School, with his resignation as assistant athletic director at the high school accepted, effective July 31. Kinnard, who has worked for North Canton City Schools for five years, brings experience in security and facilities management, along with a master’s degree in athletic administration.
He also holds a bachelor’s degree in sports management and has coaching experience at Hoover High School. The high school principal praised Kinnard’s passion and high standards for the role. Other actions taken include approving a list of graduates pending completion of requirements, resolutions for a building project, contract agreements for school upgrades, and accepting donations for scholarships and sports uniforms.
