SULLIVAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio-A 55-year-old man was arrested in Ashland County after hitting a child with his vehicle while driving under the influence. The incident occurred around 3:40 p.m. on County Road 681 in Sullivan Township when the man, driving a black 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, struck a child riding a bike. T
he child suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Akron Children’s Hospital. The driver was arrested at the scene for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and additional charges are pending according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
