DAYTON, Ohio-Dayton Police apprehended a juvenile suspect in a vehicle theft after he returned home with gunshot wounds over the weekend. On October 27, officers responded to a shots fired call near Cornell Woods Drive, discovering that the suspect had stolen a vehicle, crashed it, and fled. Blood was found in the driver’s seat of the stolen car, indicating shots were fired during the theft. About 10 minutes later, police were called to Shelley Drive, where a 15-year-old boy arrived home with gunshot wounds. The boy matched the description of the vehicle theft suspect and had recently been released from the Justice Center, having cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet prior to the incident.
