DELPHOS, Ohio-Agriculture, America’s largest industry, employs over 21 million people across various sectors, from production to sales. This vital sector provides the food we eat, the clothes we wear, and even materials like paper and ink.
An educational event called Food For America, organized by Delphos FFA, enlightened third graders from Franklin and St. John’s Elementary about food production and distribution. The day included visits to farms, supermarkets, and other agricultural businesses, offering hands-on experiences like feeding calves and learning about gun safety. Despite less than 2% of Americans being farmers, agriculture offers opportunities in nearly 200 different career fields, showcasing its diverse and high-tech nature.
