SALEM, Ohio-Akron Children’s is expanding its presence in the Valley by integrating Salem Regional Medical Center’s pediatric primary care offices in Columbiana and Salem into its network. These practices will be named Akron Children’s Pediatrics, Columbiana, and Akron Children’s Pediatrics, Salem, effective early August. They will continue operating at their current locations with consistent physician staffing, supplemented by Akron Children’s nurse practitioner Christina Hurst. This expansion aims to enhance local access to pediatric primary care, supported by after-hours services, specialist referrals, and digital health tools like MyChart.
