COLUMBUS, Ohio-Local schoolchildren from Saint Mary School German Village have collaborated with the Ohio History Connection on a new art exhibit celebrating Ohioan identity. Over 50 students, aged 3 to 11, used pens, pencils, and paint to depict their favorite Ohio places and what it means to them to be Ohioan. This project aligns with the school’s service-oriented curriculum, integrating Ohio history into their educational experience. The exhibit features various artworks, including interpretations of the Ohio flag, with contributions from students like fourth-grader Alexa Thomas. The exhibit is accessible with regular admission to the Ohio History Connection and will be open to the public until August 17th.
