School districts remain in limbo on funding as lawmakers discuss state budget

Time is winding down for lawmakers to finalize the state’s two-year spending plan. On Wednesday, the state senate agreed on a budget, including the fair school funding plan. The Senate budget gives public schools about $100 million more than the Ohio House. House and Senate lawmakers will work together and make changes before sending the final budget to Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s desk at the end of month.
