Alice Mills Mai says she is not shocked by the Trump administration’s recent executive orders that ended diversity, equity and inclusion positions and programs on a federal level.
“But it hits on a very personal level because as a Black woman, as an immigrant woman, I think of my families,” said Mai, clinic director for Ellie Mental Health Worthington.
“It is going to have really big impressions for people in my community, for people that I know, and for even some family members and also my clients,” she said referring to the executive orders.
