PORTSMOUTH, Ohio-Kristen Vassar, accused of her infant’s death, appeared in Scioto County Court on charges including involuntary manslaughter, child endangerment, and drug possession.
The hearing, held in the judge’s chambers, hasn’t disclosed its details. The charges date back to February 2024 when Portsmouth Police found Vassar’s 3-month-old unresponsive in an apartment on Kendall Avenue. The infant was pronounced dead at the scene. Vassar’s next hearing is set for June 27.
