TOLEDO, Ohio-St. John’s Jesuit High School and Academy is hosting a student-led “Day of Peace” on Monday to mark the one-year anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel. The event aims to foster a nonpolitical environment for reflection on the suffering caused by the ongoing war. A prayer service and candle-lighting ceremony, featuring Christian, Jewish, and Muslim prayers for peace, will take place during lunch periods in the Chapel of St. John Berchmans. Students can also submit private prayers at designated displays. The event emphasizes hope for peace and remembrance of the world’s suffering.
