Akron Schools’ Superintendent Michael Robinson Rebukes Resumé Dishonesty Claims

< 1 min read

AKRON, Ohio-Akron Public Schools Superintendent Michael Robinson responded to accusations about dishonesty regarding his résumé. The Akron Beacon Journal reported that Robinson had two versions of his résumé listing uncredited positions at consulting firms, including a senior executive role at Burns/Van Fleet and a senior associate role elsewhere. Both resumés indicated these positions started in November 2018 and continued at least until 2020. Robinson denied these claims, suggesting that the Akron Education Association (AEA) is using the résumé issue as a distraction from its lawsuit against the district related to a video of a school board meeting. Robinson criticized the AEA’s allegations as unfounded and a waste of resources, urging focus on improving student achievements.
