AKRON, Ohio-Daryeus Jones, a 20-year-old, was sentenced to 21.5 to 27 years in prison for the murder of 16-year-old Jamarian Coffey. Jones had pleaded guilty to charges including conspiracy to commit aggravated murder and aggravated robbery. Another defendant, 23-year-old Domonic Herring, received a 14 to 16.5-year sentence for his role in the crime. Both men were involved in a 2022 incident where they confronted Coffey and shot him multiple times, resulting in his death.
