An appeals court has granted a new trial to the man sentenced to life in prison without parole for the murder of a Sylvania 3-year-old in 2022. Overturning the judgment from the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas, the Sixth District Court of Appeals on Tuesday ordered the conviction of Michael Kitto, 34, be vacated after finding “substantial justice has not been done.”
