Fremont Schools Computers Hacked

FERMONT, Ohio-Fremont Schools reported a hacking incident in their computer systems, as announced by Superintendent Jon Detwiler in a social media post. The unauthorized access was discovered on Sunday evening, prompting the involvement of local police, FBI, and Homeland Security. The Ohio Cyber Reserves, a division of the Ohio National Guard, is aiding in the on-site investigation. Although all students and staff are confirmed safe, the district has temporarily suspended its computer operations as the investigation proceeds. Measures are being taken to restore the system securely under the guidance of the Ohio Cyber Reserves.
