An Interview with An Accused Priest: A Scorched Hard Drive, Texts with a Boy and a Missing Report

< 1 min read

CINCINNATI, Ohio-Tony Cutcher, a former priest, spoke candidly in a June 7, 2024 interview about his desire to return to active ministry despite facing severe allegations. His career unraveled in 2021 when accusations surfaced of inappropriate texting with a 14-year-old boy from St. Peter School. Following these allegations, he was instructed to leave immediately by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Despite investigations that did not result in criminal charges, including extensive text messaging and questionable interactions with the boy, Cutcher expressed frustration at being barred from ministry and relegated to menial jobs. The Archdiocese declined his request to return, citing ongoing concerns and recent media scrutiny.
