Preliminary State Report Card Shows Reason to Celebrate for BG

< 1 min read

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-The Bowling Green School Board reviewed a preliminary state report card indicating the district is expected to receive an overall grade of B, a notable improvement from previous projections. Ann McCarty, executive director of teaching and learning, noted that although the state did not assign overall grades last year, Bowling Green might have been in the lower ranges.

Superintendent Francis Scruci praised the curriculum staff and teachers for the positive results, despite his reservations about the state report card system’s flaws. Bowling Green City Schools excelled in progress and graduation rates, consistently earning “A” grades in these areas. McCarty emphasized that the report cards provide a snapshot of overall performance.
