JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio-Aultman Grief Services is hosting Camp Hope, a free one-day camp aimed at providing comfort to grieving children. Scheduled for June 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Aultman Compassionate Care Center, the camp is open to children aged 5 to 11 who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
Recognizing that children often process grief through play, the camp offers a safe environment for them to interact with peers who share similar experiences. Activities include outdoor games, crafts, art, music, storytelling, and a petting zoo. The camp also provides breakfast and lunch for participants.
