St. Ignatius Boys Volleyball Avenges Another Loss, Reaches Division I OHSAA State Final

CLEVELAND, Ohio-The St. Ignatius boys volleyball team continues their revenge tour, having lost only three matches this season. After avenging their first loss against Brecksville-Broadview Heights in the regional final, they defeated Hilliard Darby in the Division I state semifinal with a score of 25-14, 25-14, 25-21. Their previous loss to Hilliard Darby occurred on April 13 as part of Centerville’s Elite 8 Tournament.

Their only other loss was against Cincinnati St. Xavier, their opponent in the Division I state final. St. Ignatius dominated each game against Hilliard Darby, establishing early leads and maintaining momentum throughout. Jack Ragon led with nine kills, supported by Will Overberger and Sean Atkinson with six each, while Andrew Brobbey contributed 24 assists. Last season, St. Ignatius was eliminated in the regional final by Hudson.
